1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Applied Longevity Pty Ltd, trading as Hydra Club ("Hydra Club", "we", "us", "our"), is an Australian online retailer of performance and wellness supplements made by third-party brands. We are based in Melbourne, Victoria.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we collect and hold it, what we use it for, who we share it with, and how you can access it, correct it or make a complaint. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
It applies to hydraclub.co, our checkout, our email and SMS communications, our social media accounts, and any other way you deal with us.
2. What we collect
We only collect the personal information we need to run the store and serve you. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
-
Identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and billing address.
-
Order information — the products you buy, order value, order history, delivery and billing details, and any subscription you set up.
-
Payment information — we do not see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by our payment providers (see section 5), who pass us a confirmation and a token that lets us process refunds or recurring subscription payments.
-
Communications — anything you send us by email, social media direct message, contact form, or in response to a survey, and our replies.
-
Referral information — if you share a referral code or use one, the code, who shared it, and the resulting order. If you participate in our referral programme, the payout details you provide.
-
Device and browsing information — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, products viewed or added to cart, the site that referred you, and similar data collected by cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
-
Information from social platforms — if you tag, message or interact with us on Instagram or other platforms, we receive what that platform makes available to us under its own privacy policy.
We do not operate customer accounts or require a login. We do not ask you for health information, and we do not run quizzes or questionnaires that collect health, medical or dietary information. If you choose to tell us something of that kind in a message, we will use it only to answer you.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, sign up to our email list, contact us, respond to a survey, or share a referral code. We collect browsing and device information automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website. We also receive information from the third-party services we use to run the store, including our e-commerce platform, payment providers, delivery partners, marketing platforms and social media platforms, in the course of them providing their services to us.
4. Why we collect and use it
We use personal information to:
-
process, fulfil and deliver your orders, and manage your subscription if you have one;
-
take payment, process refunds, and screen orders for fraud;
-
send you order confirmations, delivery updates and other service messages;
-
respond to your questions and requests;
-
run our referral programme and apply discount and referral codes;
-
send you marketing emails and, if you have opted in, SMS messages about our products, brands, content and offers (see section 8);
-
understand how our website and marketing are performing, and improve them;
-
comply with our legal obligations, including tax, consumer and product-safety law; and
-
establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
If we want to use your information for a purpose that is not related to the ones above, we will ask you first.
We use some automated systems in running the store, including fraud screening at checkout, which may decline an order automatically. If your order is declined and you believe it was in error, contact us and a person will review it.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information with the service providers we use to run Hydra Club, only to the extent needed for them to do their job. At the time of writing, these include:
-
Shopify — the e-commerce platform that hosts our store, checkout, order records and subscriptions.
-
Payment providers — Windcave (card payments), and the wallet and instalment services you may choose at checkout, such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. If you pay with Afterpay, Afterpay collects and uses your information under its own privacy policy, including for its own eligibility assessment.
-
Delivery partners — Australia Post and any other carrier we use, who receive your name, delivery address, phone number and email so they can deliver your order and send tracking updates.
-
Marketing and analytics platforms — Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing), and advertising and analytics services from Google, Meta and TikTok. Some of this data is sent to those services directly from our servers, and some through their pixels in your browser. Where we send them information about a purchase or site visit, identifiers such as your email address are hashed before they are sent.
-
Referral platform — Social Snowball, which runs our referral programme. If you refer a friend, your first name may be shown to that friend when they use your code.
-
Professional advisers — our accountants, lawyers and insurers, where needed.
We may update the providers we use without changing this policy; any replacement will be bound by equivalent obligations. We will also disclose personal information where the law requires it, for example to a regulator, a court, or in response to a valid legal request, and to a buyer if we sell the business.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Overseas disclosure
Most of the providers listed above store and process data outside Australia. This means your personal information is likely to be transferred to and held in the United States, and may also be held in Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and Singapore, depending on the provider. Where we disclose personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way that is consistent with the APPs, including by relying on the recipient's contractual privacy commitments and data-protection certifications.
7. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: making the store work (cart, checkout, security); measuring how the site is used; and advertising, including showing you Hydra Club ads on other sites and measuring whether they worked.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through the settings of the relevant platform (for example, Google's Ads Settings, Meta's Ad Preferences, or TikTok's ad settings). Blocking essential cookies may stop the checkout from working.
8. Marketing and how to opt out
If you place an order or sign up to our list, we may send you marketing emails. We will only send you SMS marketing if you have opted in to it. Every marketing email and SMS we send includes an unsubscribe link or a reply-to-stop option, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing help@hydraclub.co. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about your orders or subscription.
9. Security
Our store runs on Shopify, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1. Our website is served over HTTPS. Card details are handled by our payment providers and are never stored on our systems. Access to customer data within our business is limited to the people who need it. No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send to us over the internet.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. As a guide: order and transaction records are kept for seven years to meet our tax and corporate record-keeping obligations; marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or your details become inactive; and website analytics data is kept for the retention period set on the relevant platform, generally no longer than two years. When we no longer need personal information we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
11. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email help@hydraclub.co. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and in some cases the law requires us to keep certain records (for example, transaction records) even after a deletion request.
12. Age
Hydra Club sells to adults. Our products and website are not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email help@hydraclub.co with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly, investigate it, and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at hydraclub.co, with the date it was last updated at the top. If we make a change that materially affects how we use your personal information, we will tell you by email or a notice on the site.
